Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 12oz. can whole San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp adobo
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp MSG
  • 1/2 cup red cooking wine

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan add olive oil and garlic on medium-high heat.

    Wait for it to start sizzling and brown slightly.

  • Add tomatoes and all other ingredients.

  • Reduce to low heat

  • Mix ingredients by mashing the tomatoes against the side of the pot

    gently. Continue this periodically in order to blend ingredients.

    Allow for some larger chunks to remain intact.

  • When sauce starts to boil reduce to a simmer and continue previous

    step periodically.

  • Sauce is done when no liquid pools to the top after mixing. The

    sauce should still be slightly watery and have a nice acidity.

  • Approximate time cooking is 45 minutes. Do not leave the sauce. Set

    it up so you can cook other things while it is simmering.
